Humans of Tel Aviv Exhibit
JCC Chicago is the proud host of the Humans of Tel Aviv Photo Exhibit from July 2019 through June 2020. During the past five years, photographer and journalist Erez Kaganovitz, the human behind Humans of Tel Aviv, documented the lives of Tel Aviv residents he meets on the streets. Through photographs, interviews and a large social media presence, Erez offers an inside look into the rich and diverse lives of the people of Tel Aviv while showcasing Israel’s vibrant, multi-cultural society.

What Erez loves most about this project is that it reaches others, not through his own ideas, but through the photographs and stories which speak for themselves. Inspired by the Humans of New York project, the diversity of Tel Aviv coupled with Erez’s curiosity and artistic talent resulted in over 1000 portraits and stories.

The exhibit consists of 36 mounted photographs and descriptions that have been installed in a number of local institutions to share the exhibit with the public beyond our own walls.

Lend or Receive a Helping Hand

For those not on the front lines, we know the best way for us to stop the spread of COVID-19 is to stay home to protect our community. Helping Hands is a new non-profit organization, co-founded by Camp Chi alum, Ken Stolman, whose mission is to match people who want to help, with people who could use a hand.
