Community Tuesdays at Bernard Horwich JCC includes a NIA for Parkinson’s fitness class, guest speakers and open game room. 10:30am-4:00pm. Snacks available for purchase at KJ Café. Join Israeli Dance teachers Jim Rust and Harriette Leibovitz for a fun dance class. Exercise; expand your mind; make friends. Let yourself be teleported briefly to Israel. No partner or experience needed, just a willingness to have a great time!
Ballroom has again become one of the most popular forms of dance. While some people appreciate its nod to nostalgic times, many dance for other reasons: It’s a great way to stay in shape. It has been proven to promote to keep the mind active and healthy. Most importantly, knowing how to dance provides confidence and a source of social enjoyment on the dance floor.
Join us every Wednesday for a few hours of mind, body and spirit enrichment. Community Wednesdays feature two, one-hour lecture/classes, along with our fitness class offerings at Marvin Lustbader Health Club, powered by Midtown.

Shalom Over 50 is a Jewish club that meets weekly at Temple Anshe Sholom in Olympia Fields for lunch, Yiddish classes, speakers and fellowship. A full schedule of thought-provoking lectures, current events and performances ensures lively discussion and a great time. Lunch is provided each week, so bring your appetite!
The Club meets Tuesdays year-round, except on Jewish and National holidays.

Join us on Thursdays at Temple Sholom in the city for a day devoted to learning. You’ll meet with other interested older adults from the JCC for two classes in the morning and one class in the afternoon. Learn more about history, current events, art history and literature. Bring your lunch for a relaxed break in between classes. Open University’s thematic lectures and discussions are engaging and thought-provoking.
Learning Hebrew is easy with the “J”. You’ll learn the everyday language spoken in Israel and its part in Israeli culture. Our Hebrew learning program enhances and accelerates learning through conversation-based techniques. Appropriate for all learners at all levels.
