For your convenience, JCC Chicago (JCC) accepts cash, checks, American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and electronic bank draft. Registrations are not complete until program fees or deposits are made. Prior to processing registration for any JCC activity, accounts are reviewed for outstanding balances. Registration cannot be processed until past-due balances are reconciled.
Fees for classes and programs must be paid in full 30 days prior to the start of the class/program or at the time of registration whichever is later. If you register after the program start date, payment is due in full at time of registration. Payment plans are available for long-term programming such as Early Childhood, J at School and Camp. If you choose to pay for Early Childhood programming by credit card, a 3% convenience charge will be applied to cover bank processing fees.
Short term program fees are non-transferable and non-refundable within 24 hours of program start date. Refunds or credits are not given for illness, vacation or temporary childcare arrangements. JCC reserves the right to cancel a program due to insufficient enrollment. If JCC cancels a program, a full refund will be issued. If a program or class is canceled, JCC will either institute a make-up session or issue credit. JCC reserves the right to substitute qualified staff, whenever necessary, to ensure the class or program’s success. Refunds are not granted for staff changes.
For long-term programming such as J at School, Maccabi Games and Camp, refunds will be given with 30 day written notice prior to program start date. All program fees will be withheld if cancelation occurs within 30 days of program start date.
Fitness membership cancellations must be done in person with 30 days written notice.
Registration fees for Early Childhood are non-refundable.
Deposits for Overnight Camp are nonrefundable.
Deposits for Day Camp: $250 is refundable until February 1. After February 1, the deposit is non refundable.
Deposits for PNW: $500 is refundable until January 1. After January 1, the deposit is non refundable. Fees will be incurred to switch programs.
Changes may be subject to a $25 processing fee.
If you are awaiting a refund, please do not dispute the charge with your card holder. Payments that are disputed in error will incur a $50 fee assessed on your account.
Early Childhood Specific
Daycare, Full-Day Preschool
All cancellations must be made in writing at least one month (30 days) in advance in order to cancel remaining payment obligations. The participant will be responsible for payment during this 30 day cancellation period. Payments made prior to cancellation are non-refundable. Your $500 deposit, ($250 if you applied for financial assistance) is non-refundable.
Fees paid for programs cancelled after June 15 will not be refunded.
Early Childhood/Day Camp Combo
There will be a $500 fee assessed for cancellations after April 15. There will be a $1000 fee assessed for cancellations after May 15.
Pro-rations will be completed for a late start or early leave on a full week basis.
All payment plans require an automatic scheduled payment by credit card or bank draft. You may pay your balance with any form of payment prior to the scheduled payment date.
Fee assistance consideration is available for Early Childhood, J at School and Camp programs and services to families demonstrating need. All requests for fee assistance are on a first come, first served basis and are handled confidentially. Standard program fees apply until scholarship award has been confirmed. All returned checks, bank drafts, and credit cards will incur a $20 fee assessed on your account.
Fees can be prorated for participant absence from a scheduled program with doctor’s written orders provided to the JCC. JCC will provide a prorated program credit for the remainder of the program. If a participant wishes to continue a class after a hiatus described above, they may receive a prorated credit for the time missed.
Long term programming prorates per the week: Early Childhood, J at School.
When space is available, some classes and programs may be prorated for late starts. Please contact the Program Manager to determine whether a proration is possible.
JCC offers a friendly and comfortable environment for all. Inappropriate language and/or conduct will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to remove from the premises any individual acting in an inappropriate manner and further reserve the right to cancel the membership of any such individual.
JCC reserves the right to cancel the enrollment of an individual for reasons not limited to the following: not observing the rules as outlined on our website, in the program guide or parent handbook; if a child has special needs that cannot adequately be met with current staffing; physical or verbal abuse of staff or children by adult or child; or non-payment of fees.
JCC strives to meet the community’s needs in every possible way. However, our staff cannot accommodate unsupervised young children. Please leave your child at JCC only for supervised programs for which your child is registered, and arrange to meet your child at the designated time. Children under 10 years old may utilize open gym and free swim only if accompanied by a parent or designated parent substitute.
JCC policy requires that children under the age of 10 use the appropriate gender locker room and be accompanied by a same sex parent. Family locker rooms are available for use in other circumstances.
Every person seeking entry to a JCC location to use the facility, drop off, pick up or visit a child at school, attend a class or event, must identify themselves to JCC staff or a guard at the entry. A person may gain entry with a valid JCC issued ID, a government issued photo ID, a valid Illinois state driver’s license or a U.S. passport. Visitors without a JCC issued ID will also be required to sign in at the entry point. Any person refusing to properly identify themselves at the entry point will not be allowed entry. Sign-in logs will be readily available to persons required to sign in.

Our registration forms require users to give us contact information that may include name, e-mail address, format preference (HTML vs. text), address, interests, and similar information.
JCC Chicago does not and will not sell, trade or share a donor’s personal information with any other agency or entity. This policy applies to all information received by JCC Chicago, both online and offline, on any Platform (“Platform”, includes the JCC Chicago website and mobile applications), as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications. All donors are listed in our annual report unless anonymity is requested.
Internet Protocol Address
We collect an IP address from all visitors to our site. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our site, analyze trends, track users’ movement, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the site, and deliver customized, personalized content. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Use of “Cookies”
Information from the cookies is used to gauge page popularity, analyze traffic patterns on our site and guide development of other improvements to our site. JCC Chicago never gives away information about our users. If you choose to e-mail us and provide personally identifiable information about yourself, JCC Chicago will use this information only to respond to your inquiry. JCC Chicago will not sell, rent or otherwise disclose that information to third parties unless such disclosure is necessary for the purposes set forth in this Policy, by law or a policy or notice contained or associated with a specific JCC Chicago product or service.
JCC Chicago may use analytics data and the DoubleClick cookie to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to our website. JCC may videotape or photograph participants enrolled in programs, classes, and events or while enjoying JCC facilities. These photographs are for JCC publications, flyers, publicity efforts, brochures, web use, other electronic communications or video usage. However, for Early Childhood, a program permission form must be signed to allow a child’s picture and name to be used for publicity purposes by JCC. This policy is mandated by DCFS. All photos and videos are for JCC use and become the sole property of JCC. Please contact the Program Director for photographic exclusions for your child.
In the event of an emergency closure due to weather or other unforeseen causes, updates will be available on our website at jccchicago.org. Refunds will not be given for weather related or other closings that are out of our control.
JCC does not provide medical insurance coverage for accidents or injuries that occur while attending or participating in any activity at, or sponsored by, JCC. Some programs require that the JCC maintains participant medical information and treatment authorization forms on file. We respect the privacy of our participants and maintain confidentiality.
For each child enrolled in JCC Chicago Early Childhood or Camp programming, the parent (or legal guardian) must provide a current immunization record appropriate for the child’s age and a health form signed by the child’s physician or health department representative prior to the first day of the program. If the physical condition of the child is such that any one or more of the immunizing agents should not be administered, the examining physician, advanced practice nurse, or physician assistant responsible for the performance of the health examination shall endorse that fact upon the health examination form. No other exceptions to scheduled immunizations are permitted within JCC Chicago Early Childhood or Camp programming. It is the responsibility of the parent (or legal guardian) to update their file when the health records change.
