Remembering Mrs. Rose Shure
Our JCC community mourns the loss of Mrs. Rose Shure, who died on Monday at the age of 95. Mrs. Shure was the chairman of Shure, Inc., the Niles-based company founded by her husband, Sidney. Together they built a global business but also established the Sidney N. Shure Kehilla Fund that supports vibrant JCC Chicago young adult programming including Makor Shabbat, holiday celebrations and Shabbat on the Lake. The Shure Family’s unwavering support of our 20s & 30s community not only enables the JCC to provide meaningful experiences for young adults, but ensures opportunities for Jewish connection at this pivotal time of life.
We will be forever grateful for the life, leadership and lasting legacy of Rose and Sidney Shure. May her memory be for a blessing.
