Growing Hope Day Proclamation
Governor JB Pritzker declared September 7, 2025 as Growing Hope Day in Illinois.
WHEREAS, JCC Chicago’s Growing Hope is a call to action, a movement firmly rooted in the Jewish principle of Tikkun Olam and dedicated to encouraging individuals to use their voices, talents, and resources in the service of creating a more just, compassionate, and hopeful world; and,
WHEREAS, JCC Chicago recognizes that growing hope takes effort, collaboration, and a collective will – making our communities more hopeful places does not happen in isolation, it requires everyone to commit to being the change we wish to see in the world; and,
WHEREAS, the Growing Hope Concert, JCC Chicago’s annual celebration of hope and optimism, is a conduit for bringing individuals together through the universal power of music for the purpose of building a kinder, more empathic society where every individual’s potential is valued and uplifted; and,
WHEREAS, the Growing Hope Concert and JCC Chicago’s commitment to Tikkun Olam remind us all that our collective efforts have the power to create lasting change in communities across the City of Chicago, the State of Illinois, and beyond;
THEREFORE, ,I JB Pritzker, Governor of the State of Illinois, do hereby proclaim September 7, 2025, as Growing Hope Concert Day in Illinois and encourage all residents to join in supporting this important event and its efforts to build a more inclusive, compassionate, and hopeful future for all.
