Growing Hope Concert
Don’t Miss The 3rd Annual Growing Hope Concert coming up on September 7, 2025 for a night filled with amazing performances and a shared mission to create a kinder, more hopeful world!
Our 3rd Annual Growing Hope Concert is officially SOLD OUT! We couldn’t be more grateful for your excitement and enthusiasm!
The evening will be emceed by co-host of Windy City Live and Lead Sports Anchor at ABC7 Chicago, Ryan Chiaverini and headlined by Jeff Tweedy, founding member and leader of the Grammy award-winning band, Wilco, who will be introduced by WXRT’s Marty Lennartz!
Among the inspiring performances are the Growing Hope Ambassadors—three young women recognized through a program launched in 2024 for using their artistic voices to create a kinder, more connected community. This year’s Ambassadors are Grey Morgan, indie rock singer-songwriter; Mary Grace Junkins, musical theatre performer; and Sylvia Pine, composer and violinist. In a moving moment of the evening, Sylvia will perform on a violin from Violins of Hope—a powerful exhibit of 70 restored string instruments once played by Jewish musicians before and during the Holocaust—reminding us of music’s ability to carry memory, resilience, and hope across generations.
The celebration of hope will also feature performances by the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra, spirited music from Apachi Day Camp campers, and crowd favorites Lisa Rock & Friends, making this an unforgettable night of inspiration, joy, and hope.
Throughout the night, share your favorite moments using #GrowHopeNow and be part of the movement! Together, we’ll create a kinder, more hopeful world through the power of music and community.

Growing Hope is a call to action, a mindset, and movement designed to combat a growing crisis of hopelessness, anxiety, and fear by engaging our community, and youth in particular, as upstanders in their communities. Rooted in the Jewish spirit of Tikkun Olam (repairing our world), Growing Hope will empower our community to use the tools of empathy, kindness, and creativity in service of building a brighter future for all.
At JCC Chicago, we believe in the collective impact of the Jewish spirit and are moving forward on an ambitious course of action with an urgent sense of purpose ignited by our 6-month Violins of Hope residency–which reached over 200,000 people throughout the state of Illinois.
