Now in its 12th year and engaging with more than 30,000 movie goers, the JCC Chicago Jewish Film Festival is excited to be the official home of ReelAbilities Chicago! This festival puts the spotlight on disabled individuals as protagonists, role models, artists and producers, all on the big screen. 6 Films will be screened from March 20-30. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.
Immerse yourself in the art of henna by learning a short history of the craft, followed by hands-on practice. Using pencils and cones, you’ll learn how to create basic outlines, simple designs, and fill-ins—all guided by professional henna artist, Asma Bohra. Tuesday, Apr. 8, 7pm at Bernard Weinger JCC. $20 registration fee, registration required. Supplies provided.
Get ready to light up the night at ShaProm—the ultimate teen event you don’t want to miss! Dance to live DJs, strike a pose at the photo booth, and enjoy an epic night with friends. Plus, dinner’s on us! All proceeds from ticket sales will directly support our special philanthropy project during the event. Exciting activities including an improv class, Michigan Avenue scavenger hunt and cooking class, provide fun opportunities to explore the city and develop leadership and independence.
Grandparents and their grandchildren can create special camp memories at the Perlstein Retreat Center, located on the grounds of Camp Chi, in Lake Delton, WI. With swimming, arts & crafts, sports, outdoor cooking, ropes, archery, bonfires & s’mores, hayrides, spirit-filled Shabbat celebrations and more, there is something for everyone to enjoy!
