NextGen Leaders
NextGen Leaders is a unique, six-week mentorship program designed for middle school students and led by high school peers. Through engaging team-building activities and self-care exercises, this program fosters a supportive environment where teens can grow together. Participants and mentors will meet in-person at The Revere located inside the Marvin Lustbader Center at Bernard Weinger JCC in Northbrook.
Dates: Tuesdays, October 22 – November 26
Time: 4:30-6pm

Become a Teen Participant
Teens in 6th-8th grade will enjoy weekly 90-minute sessions focused on building confidence, communication skills, and valuable life skills. Meet other teens from across the Chicagoland area and make new friends.
Become a High School Mentor
Teens in 9th-12th grade will lead these weekly sessions with guidance from JCC Chicago staff. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable leadership skills that can count towards service hours!
Before the program kicks off, high school mentors will participate in a comprehensive two-day training session on October 15 & 16. Here, JCC Chicago staff will train mentors on how to effectively lead activities and support their peers creating an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect.
