Join us every Tuesday for a few hours of mind, body & spirit enrichment. We will be hosting a one-hour lecture/class 11:45 am-12:45 pm, followed by open game room 1-4 pm. Bring your game board and friends, and we will provide the room and the drinks! Each Community Tuesday will begin with an optional NIA for Parkinson’s fitness class 10:30-11:25 am.
Nia takes movements and concepts from dance, healing, and martial arts. It’s a cardiovascular movement and lifestyle practice that integrates body, mind, and spirit through holistic conditioning. Nia uses easy to follow movements with a focus on Joy to build flexibility, agility, mobility, strength, and stability. By allowing the body freedom to move creatively, Nia also helps improve posture, balance, breathing, and overall well-being. Whether students have Parkinson’s or not, Nia offers insights to endless learning possibilities and the wisdom that everybody possesses.
