Glenna Eaves of the Rogers Park/West Rogers Park Historical Society will present “Welcome to Rogers Park.” This image-rich slide show telling the story of the places and people that have shaped Chicago’s Far North Side from its earliest days to the end of the twentieth century.
While not a Chicago native, Glenna has lived in the Rogers Park/West Ridge neighborhood the whole of her adult life. Inspired by the Centennial Celebration of 1993, she has worked with the Rogers Park/West Ridge Historical Society to research, develop and lead tours of prominent community areas. These include “Then and Now” walking tours of Clark Street, the Howard Street area and St. Henry, Calvary and Rosehill Cemeteries that focus on the lives and legacy of the extraordinary people who have contributed to the rich and diverse history of our community.
