Join the Illinois State Historic Sites Springfield Department of Natural Resources as we tour six of the state’s most important sites: Lincoln’s Tomb, Old State Capital, Veteran’s Memorial, Lincoln’s Law Office, Vachel Lindsey Home and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Dana Thomas House.
A lifelong central Illinois resident, Ross Rachelle received his bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Illinois at Springfield in 2010 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in history. Beginning in 2013, He worked in a seasonal capacity for the State Historic Sites of Springfield and was hired as a full-time site interpreter in May of 2018. His research interests include the Civil War era and the history of Illinois.
